What is stereotactic spinal surgery?

Stereotactic spinal surgery involves the use of a neuronaviational system and /or intraoperative imaging to provide increased accuracy in the treatment of spinal disorders. It is used most often in the placement of spinal instrumentation. It involves replacing the reliance upon xrays and allowing the use CT scan images which can provide greater detail and precision.  


What conditions is it used for?

This can be used in the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis, sponydylolisthesis, spinal fractures, lumbar revision surgery, and minimally invasive spinal surgery.
