He holds his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College (NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center). He also received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
Dr. Mu’s philosophy in treating patients in need of neurosurgery has been met with great respect from his patients and colleagues. Dr. Mu believes that every person is unique and every patient should be treated as such. His approach to every patient is individualistic. It is of utmost importance to take the time to help a patient understand their condition first. And with this understanding, he can then discuss the management options and formulate a plan of treatment within the context of medicine and within your values and goals.
These options may entail surgical intervention. Other solutions may not require surgery. Decisions will be made together and expectations will be discussed and managed in detail. At the end of the consultation, Dr. Mu feels the patient should leave with peace of mind and peace of heart that a plan has been made with the focus on what is the best for the patient.
