Dr. Murthy graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he currently holds a faculty appointment as adjunct clinical assistant professor of neurosurgery. He brings a unique set of skills and expertise as he has completed formal residency training in both Neurology from Brown University and Neurosurgery from the RWJ/Barnabas Heath System of Rutgers University. He is also fellowship trained in complex spine surgery from the University of Virginia and is a fellow of AO-Spine, an international organization dedicated to advancement in spinal surgery.
Dr. Murthy has been the recipient of teaching awards and has had publications in high impact, peer reviewed journals. He continues to teach and engage in scholarly activity. He is most passionate about providing comprehensive neurosurgical spine care to the community.
